Happy Veteran's Day !!

Hi everyone! May you have a safe, healthy & much celebrated holiday!

To all our Veteran's:

THANK YOU for your service.... your sacrifices... your love for our country and God Bless You and your families!

Here's a simple poem that warms my heart and captures the meaning of Veterans Day.... Enjoy!

Veterans Day

By Taylor Weinman

Representing the red white and blue

The colors of our flag stand out proud and true.

The white stars on blue background with red and white stripes

Remind me of these veterans, who all risked their lives.

Just so the people of the U.S. could all live in peace and be free

These are the heroes that represent you and me.

They stood up strongly, untied as one,

And kept up the fighting until they were done.

And although some have fallen, and lost their lives in war,

We pray for each one of them.

And now that their souls live on forever more,

Above in God's hands.

They watch over our nation,

And give us strength to triumph over others with strong anticipation.

So every year, when this day comes by,

Think of all the veterans that while fighting, had to die.

And remember that they were people

With fire and passion embedded inside.

They die for this country,

So remember and honor them with pride

***What are you and yours doing this holiday? Have a wonderful scrappy celebrated day!

With A Grin,

  1. Stephanie, This is a great poem, thank you for sharing. Have a great day!

  2. The poem is just beautiful! My brother is in the army and just came back from Afghanistan. Thank God he came home safe! You have a wonderful day too!

  3. Hi Stephanie, just popping over to say hi. Thank you soooooo much for all your well wishes for my family and me.
I am trying to get back to my scrapping but my room is a mess and I feel very unorganized. My plan is for Sunday after church to tear apart my craft room and re-organize it.
Hopefully, I can get some creative juices flowing on Monday.
I hope you and your family are all well. Again, thanks for all the love, it was greatly appreciated. ~Brenda
